The Griffiths Valuation shows the name Batt Shea with leases in Coomnahorna West (ours), Coad, and Caherdaniel, and there are numerous Sheas in the surrounding townlands. Given the names of his children, it is far more likely that the father was John, Michael, or Denis. There is a Denis Shea (Sr.) living on Rath in the Griffith's Valuations that may be a candidate.
