  [S556] Obituary - John Grennan, III, (Hartford Courant). John P. Grennan III, 54, of Elaine Drive, Bristol, husband of LuAnne (Zimnewicz) Grennan, died Saturday (Jan. 9, 1999) at home. Born in Hartford, Dec. 1, 1944, he was a son of John P. Grennan, Jr. of Jupiter, FL and the late Rita (Hackett) Grennan. He was the stepson of Elizabeth (May-nard) Grennan, also of Jupiter, FL. He was a resident of Bristol for most of his life. A member of the Bristol Fire Department for 36 years, he held the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of St. Gregory Church. He was a past president of the Bristol Firefighters Local 773, a past secretarytreasurer of U.P.F.F.A. of Connecticut, and a devoted husband and father. Besides his wife, father and stepmother, he leaves three daughters, Kerry Grennan of Worcester, MA, Amy Grennan of New Haven, and Kate Grennan of Bristol; a brother, Michael Grennan of Jericho, VT; a sister, Jill Wensky of Shrewsbury, MA; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday, 9 a.m., from DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Gregory Church for a Mass, 10 a.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, at the convenience of the family.
