      NEWPORT, R.I. ? Diane Marie (Nadeau) Peabody, 85, passed Friday, March 5, 2021, at Village House Convalescent Home in Rhode Island.

      She was born in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of the late Adrian J. and Doris C. (Henry) Nadeau, and stepdaughter of Jennie (La Vigna) Nadeau.

      She is survived her husband, Richard L. Peabody of Middletown, R.I.; two daughters, Lee Ann Maximowicz and Michael McAvoy OD, and their son, Sean McAvoy, of Simsbury, Conn., and Lynn Zack and Peter Zack, and their two sons, Daniel and Timothy, of Salem, Conn.; and a son, Walter Peabody and Patricia Peabody, and their daughter, Olivia, of Middletown, R.I. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy J. Maximowicz of Greenwich, Conn., and a stepbrother, Eugene J. Nadeau of Watertown, Conn.

      Diane loved life, her travels, arts and crafts, oil paintings and decorating her home with nature's bounty.

      There are no visiting hours, and burial will be in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, R.I., at the convenience of the family.
