WATERTOWN - Jennie Nadeau, 91, of 231 Straits Turnpike, died at Waterbury Hospital on March 18, 2007, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Adrien Nadeau.
Jennie was born June 23, 1915, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Frank and Marie (Zuccillo) Lavigna. She was a longtime Watertown resident having graduated from Watertown High School. Prior to her marriage she worked at Naugatuck Chemical during World War II before becoming a dedicated homemaker. Her hobbies included oil painting and sewing.
Among her survivors is a son, Gene Nadeau of Watertown; a daughter, Diane Peabody of Newport, R.I.; a sister, Evelyn Lane of Oakville; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sisters, Mary Amicone and Angie Serra.
All services for Mrs. Nadeau will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St., Oakville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
