John was born December 24, 1924 in Bushmill, Ireland, son of the late William James Taggart and the late Mary Taggart (nee - Bennett). He is the husband of the late Helen Taggart (nee- Silcox); devoted father of John T. Taggart and his wife Cheryl, Kenneth J. Taggart, Colleen Gaeta and her husband Scott, and Robert Kaucher; brother of Thomas Taggart; grandfather of four. John was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II. Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing Tuesday, September 30, 2003, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and his funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge. Interment at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge followed the funeral service.
