Kelly, 71, of Wolcott passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. He was the loving husband and best friend of Paulette (Soucy) Kelly for 50 wonderful years. Born October 22, 1951, in Waterbury, he was a son of the late George and Grace (Raspo) Kelly. Gene was a truckdriver for Coca Cola for 34 “lovely” years and was a past union steward for The Teamsters. After retirement, Gene and Paulette enjoyed traveling in their RV and seeing the sights of the United States National Parks. One of their favorite trips was to the Grand Canyon. Family was the light of Gene’s life. He leaves to treasure his love and memory, besides his wife Paulette, his daughter Shannon Sullivan and son Shaun (Elizabeth) Kelly. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister Kathleen Dibona and her husband Frank as well as his sisters-in- law and brothers- in- law, nieces and nephews. Gene was predeceased by his son Ryan and brother Larry Kelly. There are no services planned at this time.
