Henry D. Turgeon, 93, of Newington the husband of Priscilla L. (Blanchette) Turgeon died Wednesday (January 19, 2000). He was born July 29, 1906 in Danville, Quebec Canada. Henry was a self employed painter until his retirement in 1963. Including Priscilla his wife of 70 years he is survived by two sons Norman Turgeon of Rocky Hill and Daniel and his wife Barbara Turgeon of Glastonbury; a daughter Doris R. Spain of Newington; two beloved sisters Alice and Antoinette Turgeon both of Ingraham Manor Nursing Home in Bristol; eighteen grandchildren Len, Cheryl, Linda, Laura, Roger, Viola, Chris, Jerry, Mark, Nancy, Karen, Pat, Janine, Dan, Kim, Mike, Bob, Darcy and their spouses; twenty-seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will leave 11:30 a.m., Sat. Jan. 22, 2000 from Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12 p.m. at St James R.C. Church, Rocky Hill. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Calling hours are TODAY 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
