      Eleanor Ann Thompson, 87 of Linthicum passed away on November 5, 2021. Eleanor was born on November 10, 1933 in Waynesburg, PA to the late Jessie and Margaret Thompson. She was a longtime member of Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church; the Phoenix Society, the Linthicum Woman's Club, the Red Hat Society and Ski Club. She also volunteered at the National Electronics Museum. Eleanor had been involved with car clubs since the fifties and most recently the Corvette Club. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" Thompson. Eleanor is survived by her son, Michael J. Thompson and his wife, Bonnie Thompson; her grandchildren, Christopher Thompson (Kristin), and Karah Thompson (Amber); her great-grandchildren, Brooke Layman, Lucas Thompson and Westin Thompson; her brother, John Thompson (Donna Mae); her nephew, Brad Thompson and her niece, Hope Thompson Needham. The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. SW (at Crain Hwy) on Tuesday, Nov. 9th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 10th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment MD Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville. Contributions may be made to Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
