    • Pue's Occurrences (Tuesday 21 March 1749) reports that the previous week, Peter Smithwick was tried and acquitted of the killing Mr. Roger Moore of Ballynaclogh, Co. Limerick.

      His son Patrick was then accused and taken into custody, and Pue's reported (Saturday 19 August 1749) that Patrick was found guilty of manslaughter.
