  • Notes
    • Current hypotheses for Thomas:

      * We believe he may have a son Thomas, who was listed as Thomas Jr. in the 1861 Griffiths valuations. The current Thomas we believe is Thomas Sr.
      * We suspect that Thomas may be the son of John Thompson who appears in the Tithe applotment books of 1826 and in the 1803 Antrim agricultural census, but not in Griffiths, likely deceased by 1861
      * We further wonder if the Alexander Thompson shown with John in 1803 is his father, as he appears in the 1796 Flax growers list. An Alex also appears in the 1740 Protestant survey.

To prove this, we would be looking for a marriage record for Thomas and Sarah Ann, as that may list his father. It would also be helpful to find a death certificate for John, as that may list Thomas as attending.
