      Prospect - Mrs. Nancy L. (Welton) West, age 73, of Prospect, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of Donald H. West. Mrs. West was born in Waterbury on December 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert and Marian (Munson) Welton. She was retired from Joyce's Bridal Shop in Waterbury and had also worked for many years at the Waterbury Savings Bank. Mrs. West enjoyed Crocheting and was a member of the Prospect Happy Hookers Crocheting Group and also loved feeding the birds and chipmunks that resided in her yard. Besides her husband, Mrs. West is survived by a daughter, Kim Slapikas, and her husband Jeff of Prospect, a brother- Robert Welton and his wife Mary of Texas, two sisters, Karen Gentile, and her husband Don and Peg Snipas, and her husband Steve all of Florida and three Grandsons: Corey, Ryan and Tyler Slapikas of Prospect. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 11 at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the chuch. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday November 10,2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
