      ST. LOUIS ? Edith Greenspan, 91, of St. Louis, formerly of Ottawa, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 8, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rabbi Shlomo Wing officiating. Burial will be in the Ottawa Jewish Cemetery.

      Mrs. Greenspan was born March 15, 1918, in Russia, to Joseph and Rose (Levy) Polansky. She married Dr. M. William Greenspan on June 26, 1947, in New York City. He died Sept. 6, 2002.

      She was educated in New York City. She was a legal secretary in Miami, Fla., and an office manager for Dr. M. William Greenspan and Richard J. Gelbuda Optometry in Ottawa. She was involved in many charitable Jewish and civic organizations in Ottawa. She was a life-long member of Hadassah and Temple B'nai Moshe in La Salle.

      She is survived by her children, Dr. Joel R. (Allison) Greenspan of Atlanta, Ga., Beatrice G. (Dr. Bernard L.) Shore of St. Louis and Sally C. Greenspan of Pueblo, Colo.; nine grandchildren, Adam (Mechelle), Sasha, Jesse and Sara Greenspan, Molly (David) Kulinsky, Jenny (William) Butler and Liza (fiance Michael Gaertner), Julie and Daniel Shore; one great-grandson, Max Kulinsky; one brother, Randy (the late Hannah) Polansky; and one sister-in-law, Eunice Jaffe of Atlanta.
