Sylvia Marie Nadeau Flynn, 87, of Travelers Rest, SC passed away peacefully June 9, 2025 at Upstate Community Hospice House

Born May 19, 1938 in Waterbury Connecticut, Sylvia was the third born of four to the late Albert Nadeau and Florence Despins Nadeau. She is preceded in death by her older siblings, Donald Nadeau and Adele Mead.

With a commitment to serving, Sylvia spent over fifty years as a nurse with a special love for the geriatric community. When not working, she loved traveling to various destinations worldwide. Her favorite trip was to Thailand and other parts of South-East Asia, which could be felt in the conversations with her.

Sylvia had many interests including crafting, tending to her various beautiful gardens, and being the very much-loved "Granny" to her grand- and great grandchildren. She was also quite the animal lover, having several dogs throughout her lifetime and making several monetary donations to the World Wildlife Fund.

Sylvia is survived by her four children, Dr. Ronald H (Amy) Nason Jr., Sherrie N (Kenneth) Carter, Brian S (Mary Beth) Nason, and Marci Jo (Lamar) Martin; brother David (Pam) Nadeau; Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and beloved Shih Tzu Arnie.

All funeral services will be private.
