Documents | Joseph Hogan lawyer, city native, dies NEW YORK- Joseph C. Hogan, 71, of 200 East 66th St., a native of Waterbury, Conn. and a senior partner in the law firm of Hogan, Jones & Parisi, died Wednesday in New York Hospital. Mr. Hogan was born July 27, 1906, the son of the late Michael and Anne (Smithwick) Hogan. He attended Waterbury schools and Columbia University. Mr. Hogan graduated from St. John's University Law School. He was a town judge in Pelham Manor for 16 years. Mr. Hogan's brother, a former New York District Atty. Frank F. [sic] Hogan, died several years ago. He was a member of the Board of Advisers of the Franklin Corp., and a member of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. Mr. Hogan leaves a son, Joseph C. Hogan Jr. of Oakwood, Col.; three daughters, Mrs. James C. Blackmore of Albany, N.Y.; Mrs. Peter T. O'Toole of Norwalk, Conn. and Mrs. Allison F. Fleitas II of New York City; a sister, Mrs. Alfred D. Kenney of Waterbury, five grandchildren and several nieces. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at SS. Faith, Hope and Charity Chapel, Park Avenue at 59th St. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown, Conn. Friends may call at the Abbey Funeral Home, Madison Avenue and 81st St., today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. |
